Annual eye examinations, including:
- Visual acuity
- Near and distant refraction
- Intraocular pressure
- Examination of the anterior segment of the eye
- Examination of the fundus and optic nerve

- Presbyopia
- Glaucoma
- Cataracts
- Diabetic retinopathy
- AMD
- Dry eye
Signs of eye problems
- Head, neck and back ache
- Difficulty seeing close objects
- Tired, dry or red eyes or discomfort
- Distorted vision and impaired visual acuity
- Blurred or cloudy vision
- Sensitivity to light
- Loss of assurance when walking, stumbles and falls
- Reduced sensitivity to colour, contrast and relief
* Regardless of age, for patients with refractive defects (especially high myopia), diabetes, hypercholesterolaemia, vascular problems or a history of eye disease, examinations should be performed annually.
