20 to 40 years of age
Recommended examinations
Eye examination every 2-4 years, as the eye is already developed.
The examinations must include:
- Changes in refraction
- Intraocular pressure
- Fundus examination
Possible conditions
- Refractive conditions (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism)
- Eye strain
- Occasional injuries
Signs of eye problems
- Difficulty seeing distant or close objects
- Recurrent headaches
- Rubbing your eyes frequently
- Holding objects too close to read
- Blurred or distorted vision
- Tired, dry or red eyes or discomfort
- Tearing and gritty or foreign body sensation
- Sensitivity to light
* Regardless of age, for patients with refractive defects (especially high myopia), diabetes, hypercholesterolaemia, vascular problems or a history of eye disease, examinations should be performed annually.
